Blackpool Sea Life Centre is Literally going to grab the attention of visitors this summer.Home to one of Europe's largest collections of marine species there are more than 40 stunning displays offering a colourful and often breath-taking journey into the world of the underwater wildlife. New this summer is Claws show-casing an amazing array of crustaceans - the hard nuts of the sea. This fresh feature boasts some of the biggest and bizzarre crabs, shrimps and lobsters to be found in the marine world. Among the crustaceans on show are the mantis shrimp...complete with claws capable of packing a punch equivalent to a speeding bullet. Another favourite is bound to be the Japanese Giant Spider crab which can grow to boast a claw span over nine feet, making it the largest in the world. Old favourite still remain with dramatic centrepiece - Lost City of Atlantis - still at the top of most people's list to must-see. The Lost City features a tropical shark infested ocean tank complete with underwater walkthrough tunnel which provides a safe haven to view the ocean's most fearsome predators.
